Kyiv in top five cities with dirtiest air in the world

The air pollution index in Kyiv is 153 points

The Ukrainian capital still tops the live Air Quality and Pollution City Ranking as the city with the dirtiest air. Kyiv is now on the third place in the world. This is evidenced by data from the Iqair portal, which monitors air pollution levels in real time.

As of October 11, Sunday, 10 a.m, the air pollution index in Kiev is 153 points (a very high level of danger) with a norm of 50 points. Thus, the norm has been exceeded three times.

As we reported, the chairman of the State Emergency Service, Mykola Chechotkin, stated air pollution in Kyiv is not related to fires in the Chernobyl zone.

According to Chechotkin, the radiation background in the Exclusion Zone, Kyiv and the region is within normal limits and does not exceed normal values.

Also, the head of the State Emergency Situations Committee noted that there are no threats to the critical infrastructure of the Exclusion Zone, such as the Shelter, or the radioactive waste storage facility.

  1. From the link: Kyiv on place 12 with 107 points…off course bad, but as the article suggests. There is not even a city with 153 points.
Typical fake news from RT Ukraine.
