  1. This certainly is a good interview. John Sweeny hits all his nails right on the heads.
I disagree with one point; the little crook’s purported extraordinary cunningness. I’m convinced that the West aided his rise to power, either winningly or unwillingly. The crimes that he and his regime are responsible for, have never really been answered to appropriately by any Western leader or nation. This alone spans nearly Vlad’s entire term as Führer. Another important point is the massive influx of Western companies into mafia land and an extraordinary increase in doing business with the russian terrorist federation.
Looking at these points, why should the oligarchs, generals, and the FSB want to oppose him? Or even the former russian orthodox church, which has willingly reduced itself to being his prostitute … for money. Lots of money.
I am convinced that his career would’ve been short-lived if the West hadn’t been so greedy and timid.
Thus, Vlad was just lucky. He never had to face a Ronald Reagan, or Churchill, or the Iron Lady, Margret Thatcher. He was lucky to face … others.

    • It’s a great interview. I’m a fan of John, so thank you for the post.
putler is cunning. Don’t forget he’s a rat with some added hitler/mao dna!

John says “even in the worse parts of South London, people would rise up against russians.” Which reminds me of an excellent film made by Michael Caine; “Harry Brown.” (2009) In which a retired old Royal Marine takes on drug dealer street scum and wins. It was shot on location in a shitty part of South London, not far from where Michael comes from in Rotherhithe.

      • That’s interesting. Thanks.
Vlad might be cunning, but not that cunning, and he’s far, far away from being a genius.

  2. I was wondering if the local population isn’t raising any issues for the UAF as they always believed their Ukrainian..

  3. When John’s face appeared on the screen, someone at the Times superimposed the name of Mick Whelan, the vile communist trade union leader and open putler-rimmer. I shouldn’t think John would have been impressed!
Luckily the Irish in Britain are mainly quality people like John, but somehow Irish communists have infiltrated the UK trade union movement and Whelan is one of many unfortunately.
Anyway, John is right to point out the curious indifference/borderline support in many cases, of the citizens in the border areas currently under Ukrainian control.
IMHO, Ukraine can and must try to take and hold as much putinaZi land as possible. Belgorod and Kursk in fact belong to Ukraine historically.
There should be a permanent buffer zone inside putlerstan to protect Ukraine.

This could be a real possibility, but this would require more military aid from Ukraine’s partners and permission to make deep strikes with Western weapons. But, where is all of this?
