Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba urged not to believe “apocalyptic forecasts” regarding a possible Russian invasion of Ukraine .
On his Twitter page , he recalled that Ukraine has a powerful army and is ready for any development of events.
“Do not believe apocalyptic forecasts. Different scenarios are calculated in different capitals, but Ukraine is ready for any development of events. Today Ukraine has a powerful army, unprecedented international support and Ukrainians’ faith in their state. It is the enemy who should be afraid of us, and not we” – wrote Kuleba.
As UNIAN reported earlier, The Washington Post reported that Russia is already close to completing the preparations for the invasion of Ukraine, the Kremlin can capture Kiev in two days . In the event of an offensive, up to 5 million people could flee from our country. According to experts cited by the publication, the possibility of a diplomatic settlement of the situation is increasingly excluded.
Recall that since the beginning of November, Russia has concentrated more than 100,000 troops around Ukraine, which Putin, according to Western intelligence, can attract for a full-scale attack on Ukraine.
For several months now , the US and the EU have been working with Britain to develop tools to deter the Kremlin ‘s aggression . In turn, Moscow puts pressure on Washington and NATO with an ultimatum for Ukraine not to join the Alliance.

Yes, but it is not even known if Ukraine is the target or some Nato members. Apocalyptic is being naïve. If nothing happens, great. But if something happens and we are not prepared, it will be a debacle. The activity in Belarus could have many reasons, not necessarily Ukraine.
I understand why Ukraine’s government doesn’t want everyone alarmed and tepid. It reduces defensive capabilities and is bad for the economy. As for the people that I know in Ukraine, no one is apprehensive or even close to it.
I had a few drinks and think it’s time to get a bit unpopular again. Putin since he took office is on a constant retreat. He lost all of Eastern Europe to Nato, he even lost Ukraine. Not even leaving the Crimea to him will make him explode. Maybe it is too late already, but the West and Zelensky should understand this. And where is Crimea different to Northern Ireland? Leaving Putin with zero success will cause a catastrophe. I say that as a person who preferred Russia over the EU until 2014, knowing how Putin thinks. We have been reckless and successful, but we should not overstretch the bow completely. Ukraine must not become the battlefield of a fight West vs East. We can prevent a catastrophe, but not without concessions to a deeply hurt superpower. I’m thinking of the lives of all people i love, not political correctness.
