State corporations are “mobilizing” their security forces to take part in border battles.

In Russia, they decided to send employees of private security companies (PSCs) belonging to large state companies to defend the Kursk region . This was reported by political strategist and former speechwriter of Vladimir Putin, and now an oppositionist Abbas Gallyamov .

“The private security company RN-Okhrana (Rosneft) has been put on alert. Those with combat experience and former Wagner members have been given weapons. They say they will be transferred to the Kursk region. The situation is also the same in other private security companies of other state companies,” Gallyamov reported in his Telegram, citing a source in Rosneft.

According to sources of The Moscow Times , the invasion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into the Kursk region was a shock for the Russian military and the Kremlin. Video of the day

“This is a strong slap in the face for the president [Putin]. We have been unable to push back the enemy for 24 hours. A danger has been created for a Russian region and population. This is not how a country confident of its victory behaves,” said one government official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

At meetings with security officials and during public appearances, Putin was “dissatisfied” and “annoyed,” according to sources who have known the president personally for many years.

“Our border guards are fighting in encirclement. Conscripts have been captured. It is clear that the Ukrainians do not have depth of attack. But still, what happened is very unpleasant from a reputational perspective,” said another official.
