In the fourth month of Russia’s full-scale invasion of the territory of independent Ukraine, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken wished Russians to live free of repression on Russia Day .

This was reported in an appeal to the Russians on  the website of the State Department .

“Russian citizens, like people around the world, deserve to live without reprisals and be able to enjoy their human rights and fundamental freedoms without fear of retribution… The Kremlin has stepped up its crackdown on civil society and independent media. Too many Russian citizens are behind bars for the ‘crime’ of telling the authorities the truth about the actions of their government,” he said.

Blinken stressed that this includes being able to speak your mind and peacefully participate in civic and political activities in your country.

Blinken added that the Russian government is trying to keep its citizens in the dark about the atrocities it is committing against the people of Ukraine.

According to the Secretary of State, the Kremlin’s war left Russia in international isolation and deprives Russian citizens of the opportunity to build a better future in harmony with their neighbors.

  1. Maybe 20% of Russian citizens oppose putler’s genocide. The rest of the bastards fucking love it.

  2. “Russian citizens, like people around the world, deserve to live without reprisals and be able to enjoy their human rights and fundamental freedoms without fear of retribution.”
Well, it’s common knowledge that the biggest majority of ruskies enjoy being unfree and suppressed and lied to. So, they’re living in their Shangri-La, I’d say.
