Kremlin seizes grain business in Russia through debts and repression, – SZR

Individuals close to Russian dictator Vladimir Putin are subordinating the Russian agricultural industry, in particular the grain sector.

This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, reports Censor.NET .

According to intelligence, grain transshipment volumes at Russian ports in the first half of 2025 decreased by more than 56% due to a decrease in the harvest, export duties, and competition among port operators. Against the backdrop of unprofitability, the Steppe agricultural holding is selling its facilities in Azov and Volgodonsk.

Kremlin -linked structures have already shown interest in the assets . A similar situation exists around the agricultural holding Rusagro, whose owner has been arrested and part of the assets have been transferred to Rosselkhozbank, a financial institution controlled by the son of Putin’s associate Dmitry Patrushev.

The SZR emphasizes: such a “redistribution” of the agrarian business indicates a deep crisis in the industry and its growing dependence on state control.
