The Kremlin said Monday that a Kyiv-led international peace summit on Ukraine that it was not invited to produced “zero” results.
Officials from more than 90 countries gathered in Switzerland this weekend, backing Ukraine’s independence but leaving key questions of how to end the conflict unresolved.
“If we talk about the results of this meeting, then they come down to zero,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
A final document was backed by a vast majority of countries attending the summit, but several countries did not sign it, including Saudi Arabia, India and the United Arab Emirates.
“Many countries understood the lack of perspective of any serious discussion without the presence of our country,” Peskov said.
He said Russian President Vladimir Putin was “still open to dialogue and serious discussion.”

Allied leaders periodically met (Casablanca and Tehran in 1943 followed with Yalta and Potsdam in 1945) to draw up plans on how to defeat the Axis powers and to put forth solutions on how to deal with the conquered lands after defeat.

Putin doesn’t want to admit it, but that the vast majority of governments oppose his aggressive imperialism leads to increasing isolation of Russia. As Foccusser rightly argues, it’s never a good sign when other nations unite against you! 👿
Whatever happened to this alternate peace conference proposed by the Chinese? It appears to have died before it even got off the ground. Mind you, having half a dozen terrorist states turn up to support you, would be very negative for russia.

The Chinese are trying oh so hard to show they are neutral, but failing miserably. They want to be the ones that are recognised as the peace dealers, but not one country trusts them, and that includes russia too.

Henry Kissinger published a “peace plan” in December 2022. (Shortly before he died, he renounced it and admitted he was wrong).
Essentially it stated that putler could keep everything that he had taken up until Feb 24, 2022, in return for peace. It was described by Fred Kaplan as “ludicrous.” :-

This “deal” would have given putler 18% of Ukraine. It is likely what Trumpkov has in mind for his “land for peace” proposal.
The latest putler “offer” is far worse; in fact it’s nothing more than trolling. Although so evil is putler that he renders the word “troll” to be obsolete. Malignant, cancerous nazi motherfucker is closer to the mark.
I think he’s trying the old trick of asking for far more than he knows he will ever get, hoping the other side will offer him something. That way he still comes out winning. I don’t think the West fell for that, one little bit.

The only result I could see is it flushed out the parties that wanted a free vacation to Switzerland, but refuse to agree that the bare minimum for peace is Russia’s withdrawal from Ukraine:
Armenia, Bahrain, Brazil, Colombia, India, Indonesia, Libya, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Suriname, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and …THE VATICAN. Did I miss anybody?
