Russian despot Vladimir Putin has praised Tesla boss Elon Musk and compared him to Sergei Korolev, the chief engineer behind the Soviet Union’s space success in the 1950s and 1960s,Russian news agency TASS reports.
Putin was speaking about Russian space policy at a meeting with students.

“You know, there is a person who lives in the United States, you could say he is absolutely crazy about Mars,” the Russian leader said.
Putin drew a comparison between Musk and Sergei Korolev, a Soviet engineer who was crucial to the Soviet Union’s success, in particular the launch of Yuri Gagarin on the first manned space flight in 1961.
The Russian despot went on to say that “such people are rare in the human population.” “Although it seems incredible to me today, such ideas are often realized over time,” he added in conclusion.
