  1. Ukraine has received many billions of dollars worth of military support from many different countries, yet ordinary Ukrainians need to raise money abroad for military nissans & toyotas? I’m sniffing curruption. Ordinary Ukrainians should be delivering pies, borcht, and tea to soldiers, not military vehicles. Military supplies are the responsibility of the military & government, at least that’s how it works in ordinary countries. I’m sorry if this is legit, but if it is legit, something is seriously broken in Ukrainian government. I understand the situation with drones and rapidly evolving tech, but pickup trucks?

    • Yes lots has been contributed to stabilization, humanitarian needs, financial and military. But still lots more that can and should be done to support Ukraine. This is a legit organization that seeks to fill needs that are overlooked. With trucks like these, medical evacuations are performed. They are provided well stocked to save lives including resistance to bullets and shrapnel.

    • I forgot to mention how many vehicles can go through literal hell in performing missions for the AFU, hence they are in constant demand.

    • Another point I forgot to make is Ukraine is not the first country to have medical vehicles donated to them and unfortunately probably won’t be the last.

      • Thanks Bill. I appreciate your response. I have seen municipalities donate fleets of ambulances and that’s great. You mentioned these vehicles filling an overlooked need and that’s my exact point: who overlooked the need for evacuating the injured? If only there was no need. And you mentioned that these go through hell. The nissans & toyotas are not built for the battlefield. If the U.S. sends 1,000 M997 Humvee (that are built for a battlefield) to Ukraine, it would amount to 0.2% of the $61 billion budget (when(if) it gets passed). 0.2%. 1,000 units, so it’s not a matter of cost. It must be a matter of availability but I firmly believe throughout NATO there could be at least several hundred military-grade ambulances gathered up for ukraine. I mean, who else needs them more than ukraine?
