“Kinzhal”, “Iskander-M” and, probably, “Zirkon”: KMVA told how the Russian Federation attacked Kyiv

The last time such a powerful blow was inflicted by the Russians almost three months ago.

On November 17, several Kh-101/55 cruise missiles, several Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, several Iskander-M (KN-23) ballistic missiles, and also, presumably, a hypersonic Zircon-type missile were detected and destroyed in the airspace of Kyiv on November 17 ” and up to a dozen attack drones.

As reported in the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City Military Administration, the armed forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive combined missile-drone attack on Ukraine.

“The last time such a powerful blow was delivered by the enemy almost three months ago,” the KMVA said.

It is noted that to attack Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv, the occupiers used Kh-101/55 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic aircraft, Kinjal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K, Iskander-M ballistic missiles (KN-23 ), Zircon missiles, Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea and attack UAVs.

Almost the entire territory of Ukraine was under attack. In the capital, the air alert was declared twice and in total it lasted almost five hours.

The KMVA added that as a result of the strike, a 5-story residential building was damaged in the Pechersk district of Kyiv. In the Holosiiv and Dnipro districts, debris was recorded falling on open territory and non-residential premises.

“It is known for sure about one victim with a fatal head wound, she was hospitalized in a satisfactory condition,” the KMVA shared.

Updated at 11:18 am. Subsequently, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported that two women were injured as a result of the Russian attack on the capital.

“Two women turned to doctors for help, their lives are not in danger at the moment, they are in the hospital,” the message reads.
