Kherson Shipyard (Kherson Shipyard) Smart Maritime Group (SMG) has signed a new contract for shipbuilding for a customer from the Netherlands.
“Our shipyard have signed a contract to build a series of ships for a customer from the Netherlands. This is a good sign that promises a reliable loading of the company’s capacity for several years to come, full employment of workers and a stable salary, “the statement said.
In total, according to the contract, four dry cargo buildings will be built . Currently, shipbuilders are cutting steel to build the first ship. Its deadweight will be 5.05 thousand tons.
In addition, the construction of a large tug for the Ukrainian customer will begin in February at the Kherson Shipyard.
According to Dmitry Krasnikov, CEO of SMG, in 2022 the company plans to increase production by more than 60% to 800 million hryvnias.
