The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, appealed to President Vladimir Zelensky and called for the implementation of the Minsk agreements in order to “avoid irreversible consequences.”

In his Telegram channel , he addressed the Ukrainians, saying that he “loves Ukraine and its good people”, recalled “one people, a common culture and religion.”

“Mr. Zelensky! The time for clowning has come to an end. The hour has come to fulfill one’s duty to one’s own people in order to avoid irreversible consequences. That is, today, more than ever, there is a need to implement the Minsk agreements, which are signed not only by the President of Russia, but also by the President of Ukraine,” he wrote. Kadyrov.

He called “the strict implementation of the provisions of the Minsk agreements, the first important step not only in the issue of resolving the confrontation between Moscow and Kiev, but also in the topic of reducing overall tension.” The politician also called on Zelensky “as the guarantor of the constitution and the security of his people, to do everything in his power to establish peace and avoid bloodshed.”

Kadyrov also confessed his love for Ukraine and its people, and recalled propaganda statements about “brotherly Russia.”

“From the course in the history of the USSR that I happened to listen to at school, I know that the cradle of Russian statehood and Orthodoxy is Kievan Rus. Russians and Ukrainians are one Slavic people, with a common history, culture and religion,” he said.

The head of Chechnya also noted that he would never believe that Ukrainians “consider themselves part of the Western world with its Russophobic hysteria.”

In conclusion, the head of Chechnya said that the Ukrainian people will restore historical justice without outside help.

“It cannot be that the spiritual and historical heirs of the great hetman Bohdan Khmelnitsky and the brilliant writer Nikolai Gogol would not want eternal peace with fraternal Russia!” he stressed.

Recall, as UNIAN wrote, earlier Kadyrov said that if he were the Russian president, he ” would have taken Ukraine long ago, sent troops there and put things in order there,” noting that Kiev is under US control. If the Ukrainians do not want to resist this themselves, then Moscow needs to take action and annex the country, the politician believes.

Minsk agreements: what is known

Recall that in the spring of 2014, the militants seized part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine and created the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”. Russia supported the militants, and its troops invaded part of the Donbass.

To resolve the conflict, the Minsk agreements were signed, which, in particular, provided for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of heavy weapons and the holding of elections.

Russia does not recognize that it is a party to the conflict, and claims that there are no Russian troops in the Donbass. Ukraine, in turn, insisted that elections in part of Donbass are impossible while the territory is occupied.

At the end of January 2022, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said that the Minsk agreements were “signed at gunpoint” and Ukraine does not intend to comply with them.

Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin turned to the Ukrainian authorities with a demand to comply with the Minsk agreements  and quoted the Russian proverb: “… like it – don’t like it. Be patient, my beauty!”

The head of the Ukrainian state, Volodymyr Zelensky, responded to the words of his Russian colleague.

“…Ukraine is really a beauty, about “mine” – it seems to me that this is already too much, “the president said.

Putler’s pet terrorist needs to learn how to read. Neither Poroshenko or Putler signed the Minsk agreement, it was Kuchma and Zurabov.
