News.ru military correspondent Nikita Tsitsagi died in the self-proclaimed DPR. As the publication reported, the journalist died in the area of the St. Nicholas Monastery near Ugledar, from where Tsitsagi planned to report.


Tsitsagi came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, says the head of the self-proclaimed republic Denis Pushilin. He said that the journalist had been regularly visiting the DPR since March 2022.
Tsitsagi collaborated as a correspondent and photographer with several Russian publications, including Kholod and Lenta.ru . In 2023, the journalist received the Editorial Board award for his report from Shebekino for New Tab.
