Japan will provide Ukraine with $6 billion in aid in 2026: what will the funds be used for?

Volodymyr Zelenskyy said how aid from Japan will help maintain the global world order.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is grateful to Japan and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi for the decision to provide additional financial support to Ukraine next year.

The head of state announced this on the X network .

“The total amount of support is almost $6 billion, and this will help our defense against Russian aggression,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

As the president added, Ukraine greatly appreciates that Japan has such a leading position not only in the Pacific region, but also globally.

“This is a significant support for our resilience, and thanks to this, for the rules-based international order. International order is needed to ensure that Russia’s sick policy of wars does not continue anywhere,” Zelenskyy added.
