Japan has excluded the Azov regiment from the list of terrorist organizations.

An official statement about this was posted on its website by the Main Investigation Department of the Ministry of Justice of Japan, excluding the Azov regiment from the register of International Terrorism 2021.

“Albeit with a delay, but justice triumphs! Japan apologized to Azov and removed it from the list of terrorist organizations. Prior to this, the Azov regiment was considered a “neo-Nazi group,” explained Rodion Kudryashov, commander of the Azov Troop in Dnipro.

He also expects an apology from other countries and the world media. In particular, in early April, more than 200 Ukrainian politicians and businessmen signed an open letter to CNN regarding the use of Russian propaganda narratives. The signatories stressed that CNN’s writers and audience have been partly targeted by the Kremlin’s toxic disinformation attacks.

Recall that at the end of March, a big story about the activities of Azov, the situation in Mariupol and the defenders of the city was released on Japanese television.

“What is important is that the material is objective, because the journalists decided to contact us directly, and not repeat what has already been written according to Russian manuals,” Zhorin said.

  1. It was a stupid move in the first place. They started out as a group of volunteers who wanted to protect their country since their country hardly had a military to speak of. The Japanese, along with most everyone else, simply succumbed to mafia propaganda, who were angry at the battalion’s effective fighting.
