US President Donald Trump has confirmed that Ukraine has requested another Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. According to him, the White House is considering the issue. This is reported by  Clash Report .

At the same time, the US president emphasized that Patriot is very expensive.

“Ukraine invited Patriot. I’ll take a look. But it’s very expensive,” Trump said.

The head of the White House once again reiterated that he is “not happy with what is happening in Ukraine.”

“Last night, Russia launched over 700 drones. This must be stopped. Up to 7,000 people are dying every week on both sides,” he added.

The US President also stated that he does not know who made the decision to pause military aid to Ukraine, as only he could have made it. However, Trump denies that he gave such an order: He stated:

“I would know. If the decision had been made, I would know. Most likely, I would have given the order, but I haven’t done so yet.”

Patriot for Ukraine

Earlier, The Wall Street Journal wrote that the Trump administration is considering providing the Ukrainian army with another Patriot anti-aircraft missile system .

According to two Defense Ministry officials, the president began considering this after recent promises to strengthen Ukrainian defenses against Russian shelling.

It was noted that if this decision is made, the Patriot SAM system will become the first major weapons system that the Trump administration will provide to Kyiv independently – without prior approval from the White House under President Joe Biden.
