Italy will transfer to Ukraine a second SAMP/T air defense system capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country, Antonio Tajani, in an interview with the Italian state television and radio company Rai. “It is known that we will send SAMP/T, which is an anti-aircraft defense and defense tool. Ukraine itself asked us for this,” Reuters quoted him as saying .
Tajani noted that since the beginning of the full-scale war, they have already handed over eight aid packages to Ukraine. According to him, the SAMP/T system will be part of the ninth package, which is under preparation.
Aid to Ukraine from Italy:
We will remind, as early as 2023, Italy, together with France, handed over the first SAMP/T surface-to-air anti-aircraft missile system to the Ukrainian army. The country also announced the transfer of other air defense systems to Ukraine.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received with apprehension the proposal of the NATO Secretary General to lift the ban on strikes on the territory of Russia. Tajani said that Italy is not ready to send Western troops to Ukraine, and also opposes strikes on the territory of Russia.

By my count, that’s the fourth Patriot system from Germany. Now, what about the US? Why hasn’t Washington even sent a single battery to Ukraine since the revival of deliveries, despite the huge and obvious need? Which excuse do they offer for that? 🤨
Maybe because shooting down too many roach missiles and planes could “escalate” things with mafia land?
I’m not sure if there are any members in Biden’s sorry ass administration that have a scrotum sack or a fully functional brain.
