The former commander of the US Army in Europe is convinced that Ukrainian troops will continue to put pressure on the enemy further and gain success.

For the Russian occupiers, the conditions of hostilities in winter will be more difficult than for the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the offensive.
This opinion was expressed by the former commander of the US Ground Forces in Europe in 2014-2018, retired General Ben Hodges on the air of the Espresso TV channel.
“The Ukrainian General Staff will continue to put pressure on the Russian troops and will not give them the opportunity to get back on their feet, regroup or learn something. This is very important. Of course, in winter it will be more difficult on the battlefield because of the weather. Conditions for soldiers will be more difficult, but for Russian conditions for the occupiers in defense will be more difficult than for the Ukrainian forces that attack. Ukrainian troops have their own people behind them, and the Russians, especially the newcomers, who are insufficiently equipped, ready and untrained, will be forced to withstand strong attacks from the Ukrainian troops,” Hodges stressed.
According to the military expert, the Ukrainian troops will continue to push further and get successes, but it will be a little slower and more difficult.
“Weather can cause complications for drones. But everyone will be under the same weather conditions, but the Ukrainian army will be more prepared and more effective ahead of winter,” Hodges said.

War in Ukraine: forecast
Recall, according to experts, the analysis of which is published by CNN , the war in Ukraine broke out again with the approach of winter. The conflict is teetering on its way to an unpredictable new phase. Therefore, the next few weeks of the war in Ukraine will be critical.
The Times , citing a senior British government source, reported that the success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in breaking through the Russian fronts gave rise to hope among Western governments and military experts that the war could end by Christmas. If Kyiv’s progress continues, Putin’s forces will be pushed out of the Donbass and back into Russia before the end of 2022.
Military expert Sergei Grabsky does not agree with such forecasts and says that the active phase of the war in Ukraine will definitely not end by the Catholic Christmas, which is celebrated on December 25. At the same time, he does not rule out that the intensity of hostilities may decrease for some time by Christmas, but heavy fighting will continue.
