“It was a tough battle”: GUR showed footage of the operation at the Volchansk Aggregate Plant

The soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine defeated the Russian invaders and won an important victory.

Fighters from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense cleared all buildings of the Volchansk Aggregate Plant from Russian invaders.

Now the enterprise is completely under the control of Ukrainian forces. This was reported by the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate. The intelligence service reported that this battle was difficult.

“Volchansk Aggregate Plant is under the control of Ukraine! It was a tough battle, but the soldiers of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine defeated the Russian invaders and won an important victory – by force of arms and spirit, mastery of thought and unprecedented courage. Honor to the brave! We continue the fight for a free Ukraine!” – the message says.

Liberation of the Volchansk Aggregate Plant

On September 24, 2024, it became known that the GUR units had completely liberated the territory of the Volchansk Aggregate Plant. The occupiers were destroyed in all buildings of the enterprise – and there are 31 of them.

The operation was carried out by special groups of the GUR: “Stugna”, “Paragon”, “Junger”, BDK, “Terror”. On Tuesday, at 14:40, the commander of the special unit of the GUR Timur reported to the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov about the successful completion of the operation.

It is known that the GUR fighters carried out a systematic clearing of the plant buildings, constantly engaging in contact battles with the enemy in densely built-up areas. Ukrainian special forces even had to engage in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy.
