Russia is keeping the composition of its delegation secret.

On May 15, 2025, negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation are to take place in Turkey, at which President Volodymyr Zelensky is waiting for dictator Putin in person .

But the Ukrainian delegation that will fly to Istanbul also includes other government representatives. In particular, as Radio NV reports , citing sources close to the president, the head of the President’s Office, Andriy Yermak, plans to go there.

Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Zelensky’s diplomatic advisor Ihor Zhovkva are also planning to travel to Turkey. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga is already there.

At the same time, it is still unclear whether negotiations with Russia will take place at all:

“The decision on the format of the negotiations and whether they will take place will be made personally by the president tomorrow in Turkey,” the interlocutor emphasized.

It is noted that during his visit to Turkey, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also plans to meet with the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to media reports, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has already arrived in Turkey. At the same time, Russia has not yet said who will be part of its delegation. Moscow plans to reveal the composition only tomorrow so that Ukraine “does not have room for maneuver,” Russian media say .
