The chairman of the Kiev Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Pavlyuk said that the main work to restore and ensure the life of the Kiev region is planned to be completed at the end of May.

He also urged people to wait a bit and not yet return to their homes because of the danger from the “surprises” left by the occupiers.

“There is a great danger to people! More than 11,000 munitions have been defused this week alone. These are mines that did not explode, set “traps”, trip wires. A lot of “surprises” are left to us by the Russians, where they leave. A very thorough check is needed. , only after that we will be able to give people official access to their facilities.I understand that everyone wants to see their house, go into it, so I gave instructions at all checkpoints not to return people who go to their homes, but a guarantee ( security – UNIAN) we still cannot give. He added that the work is being carried out around the clock, an operational headquarters has been created in each settlement in all directions, the regional headquarters coordinates the work of all local headquarters, and they immediately respond to applications for dangerous items.

The head of the Kiev Regional Military Administration noted that the work is being carried out around the clock, 18 groups of representatives of the State Emergency Service are working in the region, and about 600 police officers from other regions have arrived to establish control over the safety of property and prevent looting around the clock.

“People are working day and night… we want to get people back to their homes where possible by the end of the month,” Pavlyuk said.

Regarding the number of checkpoints on the roads and the resulting traffic jams, the chairman of the Kiev Regional Military Administration explained that the most important checkpoints would remain.

Answering a question about the restoration of infrastructure facilities, the head of the military administration noted that now a large amount of work is being carried out to restore bridges on regional roads and restore power supply in settlements.

“The bridge in Stoyanka … we are working. We plan to restore the first lane in two months and the second lane in another two months. This is in our plans. And next Saturday we plan to launch a bypass road, a bypass bridge near the bridge in Stoyanka. Today we are launching a bypass bridge near the village of Romanovka … Many bridges were destroyed throughout the region, especially when the Russians retreated, this is also a lot of work … and an even bigger problem in providing electricity … 352 settlements in which there is no electricity supply,” Pavlyuk said .
