It is noted that Russia is directing its resources to the Kharkiv-Izyum line, trying to stop the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces could destroy Russian positions around Izyum if they sever the occupying land lines north and south of the city.
This is stated in the report of the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
“Ukrainian troops on September 9 continued their offensive against Kupyansk and towards Izyum, and are taking measures to isolate the Russian group of forces. If the Ukrainians manage to break the ground communication lines of the Russian troops, they will be able to create a cauldron around Izyum and destroy a significant part of Russian positions in the north -east of Ukraine,” the ISW noted.
At the same time, according to analysts, Russia is directing resources to the Kharkiv-Izyum line, trying to stop the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The Russian Ministry of Defense and the Kremlin published footage of Russian military convoys, which were allegedly sent for reinforcement to Kupyansk, Izyum and the general Kharkiv direction, but did not recognize Ukraine’s success in this area,” the experts noted.
It is noted that the successful counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroys the attempts of the Russian Federation to make Izyum a zone of power saving.
“Some bloggers also noted that September 10 will be a decisive day if the Russians fail to create reserves and capable command in time,” the ISW report says.

I saw videos of the supposedly russian convoys heading towards the Izium area from russia. I’m dubious about this. Firstly, why would make a show of sending a truck convoy, which was videoed from every angle imaginable? Secondly, Izium is the destination of the main rail supply coming from russia. Would you send a convoy by road, or the much faster rail route?
They are just trying to calm down the propagandists. Sad though that some outlets pick up the propaganda and consider the move as a military tactic.
