The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Israel will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine in any case.

The new Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel , Eli Cohen, announced that he would change the policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding Ukraine and the Russian-Ukrainian war.
He stated this during the inauguration ceremony, writes Haaretz .
It is noted that today, January 3, Cohen is going to talk by phone with his Russian colleague Sergey Lavrov. These will be the first talks between the foreign ministers of Israel and Russia after the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
“On the Russian-Ukrainian issue, we will do one thing for sure – we will speak less publicly,” he promised.
According to Cohen, Israel will continue to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine in any case. However, the minister refused to comment on Ukraine’s request for the supply of air defense systems.
As you know, Israel’s previous foreign minister, Yair Lapid, did not communicate with his colleague from the Russian Federation after the start of the Russian invasion.
The war in Ukraine: the role of Israel
Since the beginning of the war, Israel for a long time refrained from providing military aid to Ukraine, and limited it only to humanitarian aid. In October 2022, the Israeli authorities announced that the country would not supply Ukraine with weapons.
Subsequently, Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz confirmed again that his country will not transfer air defense systems to Ukraine .
In November 2022, the media reported that Israel allowed NATO members to supply weapons with Israeli components to Ukraine.

Israel is a real disappointment. I just hope one day they get what they deserve.
It is bizarre how little they have learnt from history.
They expect moneys and support from the U.S., but do not give anything in return.
It is also really stupid, because Israel depends on other countries for its very existence.
Good relations with allies is as important as a sound army, because as brilliant as they may be, the first indigenous fighter jet has yet to be produced by Israel.
And I am not buying this Iran argument: I don’t think Russia will have any serious presence in Syria anymore.
There is more to this thaneets the eye. In spite of conversations with mafialand Israel is doing what Turkey did with Bayraktar’s in that Israeli companies will produce/ provide military equipment to Ukraine but retain plausible deniability nationally because it is being done by the private sector.
