Israel has introduced entry restrictions for Ukrainians: Kyiv is preparing a symmetrical response

Entry rules may be complicated for Israeli pilgrims just before Rosh Hashanah.

Israel has introduced additional restrictions on the entry of Ukrainian citizens. In response, Kyiv is introducing its own restrictions for Israeli citizens, reports the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel .

As noted in the message, from July 1, citizens of countries with visa-free entry into Israel (Ukraine among them) must apply for an ETA-IL permit to stay in the country for up to 90 days.

“Ukraine and Israel have had close relations since the introduction of a visa-free policy in 2010. However, recent Israeli actions, such as restricting Ukrainian refugees and denying entry to many Ukrainians, have worsened these relations. The latest requirement effectively ends the visa-free regime,” the Ukrainian statement noted. embassy.

Thus, Ukraine will introduce similar pre-entry approval requirements for Israeli citizens. It is noted that this will also apply to thousands of pilgrims from Israel who visit Ukraine every year. How exactly these “electronic visas” will work is still being decided, the embassy says.

“Ukraine remains open to dialogue with Israel to discuss and agree on these changes in travel policy in favor of both countries,” the diplomatic institution noted.

Threat of canceling visa-free travel with Israel

As UNIAN wrote, this is not the first dispute between Ukraine and Israel due to the inhospitality of the Israeli state towards Ukrainian citizens. In the summer of 2022, the Ukrainian authorities already threatened to suspend the visa-free regime for Israeli citizens in response to the same decision of this country, taken at the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

As Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeniy Korniychuk said at the time, “Israeli know-how” stood out noticeably compared to other countries: not a single country in the world thought of introducing visas to Ukrainians against the backdrop of the Russian invasion, and Canada and Ireland, on the contrary, unilaterally refused visa

“And it would be good if they concerned everyone involved in the war! But Russian citizens enter Israel without restrictions, citizens of Belarus too, and electronic visas have been invented for Ukrainian citizens,” the Ukrainian ambassador was indignant then.

  1. “And it would be good if they concerned everyone involved in the war! But Russian citizens enter Israel without restrictions, citizens of Belarus too, and electronic visas have been invented for Ukrainian citizens,”

This despite mafia land supplying Hamas with weapons to attack Israel with.

    • years ago, when I studied Bible prophecy, I thought people would have to be insane for it to come true. Much of teh world, a sufficient number, of the world is insane, and here we are. Even Israelis have reached that point.

  2. This is Netan-yahoo, no doubt. I’m sure there are Israelis – even in the government – who hate mafia land and support Ukraine. Netan-yahoo is a bought and paid for ruskie whore, just like Orb-anus, and Slovenia’s Fuco. There is an orange guy somewhere, too, in this regard.

  3. This ls disgusting when even the Israeli’s know HAMAS attacked them on Oct 7th, as a present to Putin’s birthday.
