The Israeli government has not yet announced the terms of the agreement.

Israel and Hamas have signed a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which will be formally announced “in the coming hours,” Reuters reports  .

According to the publication, the agreement between Israel and Hamas includes an initial six-week phase that will include a gradual withdrawal of IDF forces from the central Gaza Strip and the return of displaced Palestinians to the north.

Donald Trump confirmed that Hamas and Israel have agreed to release hostages in the Middle East:

“They will be released soon. Thank you!” the politician said.

The agreement envisages the shipment of 600 trucks of humanitarian aid every day, 50 of which will include fuel and 300 of which will reach the northern Gaza Strip.

Hamas will release 33 Israelis, including all women, children and men over 50. The militants will first release hostages under 19, then men over 50.

In turn, Israel will release 30 Palestinian prisoners for each kidnapped person and 50 for each female soldier. Israel will release all Palestinian women and children under the age of 19 arrested since October 7.

It is noted that the number of Palestinians who will be released will depend on the number of abductees who will be released, and could range from 990 to 1,650 people, including men, children and women.

The living abductees will be released before the dead. The third part of the agreement is expected to include the return of all bodies to Qatari and UN custody.

War between Israel and Hamas – Latest News

Earlier it was reported that the Qatari authorities suspended their mediation in agreeing on a peace treaty between Israel and Hamas.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) made this decision due to the unwillingness of the parties to negotiate. In addition, according to media reports familiar with the situation, Qatar was under strong pressure from the US authorities, who demanded the closure of the Hamas representative office in the country.
