Is Donald Trump a Russian asset?

  1. A letter to the editor of the Daily Telegraph:

SIR – I was the British Defence and Military Attaché in Budapest when the 1994 Budapest Memorandum was signed by Ukraine, Russia, America and the UK. Under it, Ukraine agreed to relinquish its nuclear arsenal (then the third largest in the world). In return, the signatories – including Russia – pledged to respect Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty and existing borders.

I recall the ambassador questioning the wisdom of this agreement. With hindsight, he was right. The pledge was torn up with Russia’s annexation of Crimea in 2014. Because Vladimir Putin was allowed to get away with it, we have the situation in Ukraine today.

To give in, and swap territory and mineral wealth for peace, would simply encourage Russia to try again elsewhere. It is a matter of trust.

    • Not only America and Britain had been complete failures in the face of russian aggression, the entire West has been. And South Korea and Japan are still largely asleep.

  2. Sen. Jeff Merkley:

“What else could a russian asset do that trump hasn’t yet done?”

    What indeed.
    Terrifying.

Trump’s allies are asked a simple question: “What else could a Russian asset actually possibly do that Trump hasn’t yet done?”
    6) appointed in cabinet people that have expressed similar Russian POV & may be an intelligence security threat
    7) asked UK to not share USA intel with Ukraine
    8) dismissed departments dedicated to countering Russian cyberattacks

my answer : in the whole universe ??
nope, even E.T. would have done much much better, he would have said to Putin, get the F*ck out of Ukraine or else
