Iran’s Supreme National Security Council head, Ali Larijani, warned US President Donald Trump that he should be careful not to “disappear.” One of the most influential officials in the ayatollah regime, Larijani wrote this on his X account, reacting to Trump’s remarks about a “crushing blow” if Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz.
“The Iranian people, living in the spirit of Ashura ( meaning, ready for martyrdom in the name of faith – TMT), are not afraid of your empty threats. Even those stronger than you were unable to destroy them. So beware, lest you yourselves disappear,” Larijani declared. A little later, in another post, he declared that the Strait of Hormuz “will either become a strait of peace and prosperity for all, or a strait of defeat and suffering for the warmongers,” referring to the US and Israel, which are waging a large-scale campaign to destroy Tehran’s military potential.
This is the second time in recent days that Larijani has hinted that Trump could become a target of Iranian military forces. On Saturday, he stated that the US president should “pay a price” for the American-Israeli strikes on Iran. “I have no idea what he’s talking about or who he is. I couldn’t care less,” Trump responded.
On March 10, the White House chief wrote in Truth Social that Washington would deal Iran a crushing blow if it blocked the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint in the Persian Gulf. “If Iran takes any action that stops the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, the United States of America will hit them 20 times harder than it has already,” the American president declared.
“Furthermore, we will destroy soft targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to rebuild as a nation—death, fire, and fury will be rained down upon it—but I hope and pray that this does not happen!” Trump wrote .
