Iran is preparing to supply Russia with hundreds of ballistic missiles with a range of 120 km, Reuters reports , citing sources in European intelligence.
The publication notes that dozens of Russian troops are currently training in Iran to use the Fath-360 ballistic missile system, with hundreds of satellite-guided weapons expected to be “imminently delivered to Russia” for its war in Ukraine.
“Russian defense officials signed a contract with Iranian officials in Tehran on December 13 for the Fath-360 and another ballistic missile system built by Iran’s state-owned Aerospace Industries Organization (AIO) called Ababil,” the publication writes.
At the same time, the US refused to confirm information about the possible delivery of ballistic missiles from Iran to Russia, while White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby stressed that NATO and G7 allies are ready for a “quick and tough response if Iran carries out such a transfer.”
