Iran strikes world’s largest liquefied natural gas facility

Qatar threatened to respond to the attack.

Iran has launched a ballistic missile attack on Qatar . One of the missiles hit the industrial city of Ras Laffan, which is one of the largest centers for the production of liquefied natural gas in the world.

The attack by Iran is stated in a statement by the Ministry of Interior of Qatar. It is reported that a fire broke out at the facility – the relevant services are working to eliminate it.

The fact of the Iranian attack was also confirmed by the QatarEnergy company .

“Emergency rescue teams were immediately called in to extinguish the fires resulting from the accident, as significant damage was caused. The location of all personnel has been established, and no casualties have been reported at this time,” the statement said.
