Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe continues to develop export supplies of products for passenger rail transport, expanding and diversifying the geography of sales.
In September, Interpipe NTZ shipped a test batch of 840 mm diameter EN 13262 wheels to the GVB operator operating the Amsterdam metro.
Now the plant is preparing to produce an industrial batch for a new customer.
Interpipe wheel products will be used to repair Alstom subway cars.
“This is the first time the company has supplied wheels to the Netherlands. The peculiarity of this order was the increased requirements for the microstructure of the metal. The buyer invited to improve the quality and strength of the wheels, which were obtained due to the optimal heat treatment mode.
