German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has identified primary sectors where Germany is adopting lessons from Ukrainian battlefield innovations to enhance closer cooperation.

Speaking in an interview with UNITED24 Media during his visit alongside Ukrainain Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Pistorius emphasized critical advancements in artificial intelligence, electronic warfare, counter-drone systems, and the collaborative development of sophisticated missile technologies.

The minister said that Germany is particularly interested in Ukrainian innovations in modern warfare, stressing that cooperation goes beyond drone technologies alone.

“One of the most important topics is AI, electronic warfare, counter drones, drones in all aspects and different kinds and variations,” Pistorius stated, referring to Ukraine’s expanding defense technologies developed in wartime conditions.

Pistorius added that Berlin also sees strategic value in expanding joint projects in high-end weapons systems, including long-range and anti-ballistic capabilities.

But at the same time, for us it’s very important to talk about joint development of, for example, something like a long-range missile, like anti-ballistic missile. So we need more European solutions for what we now are forced to buy elsewhere.

The minister underlined that while Germany continues to cooperate closely with the United States, including procurement of American defende systems, Europe must strengthen its own industrial and technological base.

“And at the same time, we have an ally across the Atlantic, the United States, which we are very aligned to, and we buy American material. But at the same time, we need more European sovereignty and more European independency,” he said. “And this is what it is about when we talk about long-range missiles, anti-ballistic, artificial intelligence, and so on.”

Previously, German Defense Minister characterized Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s recent suggestions of a swift conclusion to the war as a deceptive tactic intended to mask the vulnerabilities of the Russian military.

During a joint press conference in Kyiv with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, Pistorius emphasized that the cessation of hostilities against the Ukrainian population remains entirely under Putin’s control.

  1. Get the ball rolling, guys. Mafia land must be defeated, and don’t expect any help from the U.S., which is still being ruled by a criminal fascist dirtbag.

  2. Ukraine and Germany will make putler regret ever trying to take Ukraine. Europe is hardly breaking sweat in helping Ukraine, but now that it’s waking up, the results are there for all to see.
