During the air raid, the overhead line ensuring the operation of the backup power circuit of the Zaporozhye NPP was also turned off.

On Sunday, March 24, the Russian military carried out another attack on the energy infrastructure of Ukraine. In the west of the country, facilities of the Naftogaz group were damaged. Chairman of the Board of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Alexey Chernyshov announced this on Facebook .
“In the morning, the enemy again attacked the energy infrastructure. There is damage to Naftogaz group facilities in the west. Preliminarily , there were no casualties. Work continues to localize and eliminate the consequences of the emergency. Details later,” said the head of Naftogaz.
At the same time, Ukrenergo said that the morning missile attack did not significantly affect the operation of the energy system. But during the night, the Russians again targeted energy facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk region with drones. The debris damaged part of the equipment at one of the substations and a high-voltage power line. At the same time, interruptions in heat supply were recorded in Krivoy Rog and there were disruptions to the technological process at individual industrial enterprises.
Also, during the air raid, the overhead line ensuring the operation of the backup power circuit of the Zaporozhye NPP was turned off. Subsequently, power engineers restored the reliability of power supply to the Zaporizhzhya NPP – the line that was switched off was returned to operation.
In Kharkov, there are network restrictions caused by damage to energy infrastructure; in the Odessa and Khmelnytsky regions, shutdown schedules can be applied as consumption increases.
