In Vladivostok, on Victory Day, flags were hung out, reminiscent of the banners of the Japanese Navy. The city administration blamed the contractor for everything

In Vladivostok, on Victory Day, festive flags were hung, which users of social networks considered similar to the banners of the Japanese Navy, the enemy of the USSR in World War II.

The flags hung in the center of Vladivostok depict the Order of the Patriotic War, from which red and white rays radiate. The Japanese Navy banners have similar beams that radiate out from a red circle.https://t.me/rian_ru/95781?embed=1

The city administration has already promised to replace the flags, blaming the contractor for what happened.

“The contractor misinterpreted the conditions specified in the street decoration catalog recommended for use by the Pobeda organizing committee,” the press service of the Vladivostok administration said.

On the eve of May 9, scandals regularly arise in various cities of Russia related to the festive decoration for Victory Day. Most often this happens due to the fact that on the posters, by mistake, instead of the Soviet ones, they place archival photographs of German soldiers or equipment.
