The city has been suffering from enemy artillery since the first days of the war.

In Orekhov , Zaporozhye region , two employees of regional power networks were killed, two more were injured during repeated enemy shelling during the restoration of a damaged power line.

This was announced by the head of the Zaporozhye Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Starukh in Telegram.

“Disturbing news from the city of Orekhov, which has been suffering from enemy artillery since the first days of the war. Two employees of the district power grids, Dmitry Starichenko and Roman Melnik, were killed during the restoration of a damaged power line during repeated enemy shelling,” he wrote.

According to Starukh, Maxim Yurchenko and Dmitry Rabadzhiev were wounded and taken to the hospital.

“Therefore, heroism happens not only on the battlefield. Sometimes it consists in doing one’s job conscientiously,” the head of the region noted.

Attacks on Zaporozhye: what is known

As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 11, the Russian invaders again fired at the Zaporozhye region. During the shelling, seven people were killed and the same number were injured.

As you know, the Russians have recently stepped up shelling of the city. At the end of September, they launched  a missile attack on a humanitarian convoy of civilians  at the exit from Zaporozhye, 30 people were killed, 88 were injured.

On October 10, as a result of a  rocket attack on Zaporozhye  , a high-rise building was destroyed.

On the night of October 9, the invaders launched attacks with S-300 and X-22 missiles  on residential areas of Zaporozhye . It is now known about 14 dead and 89 wounded, of which 11 are children.

On October 6,  Russian occupiers  launched rockets at residential areas of the city. As a result of the attack, several high-rise buildings were destroyed, people were trapped under the rubble. As a result of the strike, 17 people were killed, 21 people were rescued.

On October 10, it became known that  a night rocket attack on Zaporozhye  killed a person, five more were injured, including one child.
