The Armed Forces of Ukraine recently attacked the Ryazan and Samara regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, oil refineries important to the enemy army were hit there.

On Monday, March 10, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provided details of these attacks. They noted that the Defense Forces continue to take all measures to undermine the military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers and force the Russian Federation to stop its armed aggression against Ukraine.

“The forces of unmanned systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, struck a number of important strategic objects of the Russian aggressor. In particular, on the night of March 9, an oil refinery of the occupiers involved in providing support to the army of the invaders was hit in the Ryazan region of the Russian Federation. Explosions were recorded in the area of ​​the target,” the report says.

The General Staff added that the Ryazan Refinery produced an average of 840,000 tons of the highest grade fuel for jet engines. Aviation kerosene of the TS-1 brand produced by it was actively used by the aggressor’s aviation forces in the processes of strikes on the territory of Ukraine.

In addition, on the night of March 10, a hit was recorded on the production facilities of the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery in the Samara region. It is noted that fuel from this refinery is transported via a system of product pipelines and railways to support the enemy’s troop grouping in the northern direction.

“Detailed information on the consequences of the destruction of the facilities is currently being clarified. What will happen next… Glory to Ukraine!” – the General Staff summarized.

The situation at the front

As of 16:00 on March 10, 84 clashes have occurred on the front since the beginning of the day . Our defenders are stopping the enemy, holding the lines and destroying the Russian plans. Border areas of settlements in Ukraine have suffered from Russian artillery shelling.

The hottest situation remains in the Pokrovsky, Toretsk, and Novopavlovsk directions.

The enemy has also increased the number of attacks in the Lyman and Siver directions. The enemy is trying to break through the Ukrainian defenses and advance.

In Kursk, Ukrainian defenders repelled two attacks by the invaders. In addition, the enemy carried out 14 air strikes, dropping 24 anti-aircraft missiles, and also launched 158 artillery shells, including ten from multiple launch rocket systems.

It was previously reported that the attack on the Novokuybyshev Oil Refinery in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation was carried out by drones of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the night of March 10. A fire broke out at the facility, which the aggressor is using in the war, after powerful explosions.

As OBOZ.UA reported, on the night of March 8, GUR drones attacked an oil refinery in the Leningrad Region of the Russian Federation. As a result of the operation, at least one of the fuel tanks was damaged.
