Today, May 8, in the area of responsibility of the 46th separate airmobile Podil
brigade, an enemy assault attempt in the Pokrovsky direction was successfully repelled. According to the brigade, the enemy involved 14 units of motorized vehicles and about 20 occupiers in the attack.
This was reported by the Command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They noted that the brigade’s fighters demonstrated high professionalism and efficiency, ready for any surprises on the battlefield.
“We are always ready for any development of events,” the brigade emphasized.
This battle became yet another testament to the combat endurance and ability of our soldiers to act effectively even in the most stressful conditions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation in the Pokrovsky direction remains tense: since the beginning of the day, the enemy has made 55 breakthrough attempts near the settlements of Oleksandropil, Yelizavetivka, Grodivka, Dachenske, Kotlyne and others. Five combat clashes are still ongoing. Previously, the enemy’s losses amounted to at least 407 people, of which 225 were irretrievable.
The fiercest fighting also continues in the Pokrovsky, Kupyansky, Lymansky, Kramatorsk, Toretsk, and Kursk directions.
In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers repelled four assaults near Synkivka, Stepovaya Novoselivka, Novaya Kruglyakivka , and in the direction of Novoosynovoye . One battle is ongoing.
During the day, in the Lymansky direction, the enemy attacked 21 times in the areas of Nadiya, Novoyehorivka, Ridkodub, Grekivka, Kolodziav, Torske, and others – one battle has not yet been completed.
Up to a dozen clashes are ongoing in the areas of Chasovye Yar , Kurdyumivka, and Toretsk , some of which are still active.
The invaders stormed the Toretske direction seven times, with the main efforts concentrated near Krymske.
In the Kursk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 16 attacks, the enemy launched 8 air strikes using 11 guided bombs and carried out 245 artillery shellings.
As OBOZ.UA reported, in the Kharkiv region, the occupiers have no chance to attack, as Ukrainian defenders continue to torment them, striking at the enemy. This time, the fighters of the Third Assault Brigade hit the Russian positions hard , destroying their equipment and infantry.
