After the attack, more than 30 people remain in Kyiv hospitals, including those with very serious injuries and amputations.

It is now clear that Russia hit a house in Kyiv with a ballistic missile from North Korea on April 24. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote about this on Telegram .

“All details regarding the missile are being clarified. But it is already clear that this is a ballistic missile from North Korea,” he noted.

Zelensky stressed that insufficient pressure on Russia allows it to import such missiles and other weapons and use them in Europe, and insufficient pressure on North Korea and its allies allows it to produce, in particular, such ballistics.

“The missile that killed the people of Kyiv contained at least 116 components imported from other countries, and most of them, unfortunately, were manufactured by American companies,” the President of Ukraine said.

Zelenskyy noted that rescue operations at the site of the Russian strike on an apartment building in the Ukrainian capital were completed today. According to him, on April 24, the Russians killed 12 people in Kyiv, almost 90 were injured, and now more than 30 people remain in hospitals, including with very serious injuries and amputations.

Zelensky stressed that Russia must immediately and unconditionally agree to a complete ceasefire. At the same time, he recalled that Ukraine agreed to US President Donald Trump’s proposal for silence in the sky, at sea, and on the front 45 days ago.

“We also made a direct proposal to Russia to stop strikes at least on civilian targets. Russia rejects all of this. That is why this cannot be resolved without pressure. Pressure is needed on Russia. Stopping the killings is the first priority,” the country’s president said.

What is known about the missile with which the Russian Federation struck Kyiv?

As UNIAN reported, on the night of April 24, Russia launched 70 missiles of various types and 145 long-range drones into Ukraine, with Kyiv being the main target of the attack. At the same time, Defense Express experts, citing analysis of the wreckage, claim that the Russian Federation used, among other things, North Korean KN-23 ballistic missiles for the combined strike on Kyiv .

Defense Express also reminds that according to the GUR, Russia has improved the KN-23 to achieve greater accuracy and reliability. At the same time, it is reported that previously such missiles by the Russians disintegrated in the air during use in 50% of cases. In addition, the missiles could deviate from a possible target by a distance of up to 1.5 km. Sometimes such attacks ended with the North Korean missiles falling far from any possible targets for strikes.
