In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian paratroopers repulsed a massive Russian assault with armored vehicles in the Kurakhove sector.
The 79th Air Assault Brigade said that the invaders had used 27 units of armor in the recent assault.
“Three tanks, 23 armored vehicles and one buggy were sent to the assault,” the paratroopers said.
The Ukrainian military observed the movement of Russian assault troops using reconnaissance drones.

In the first hours of the battle, the defenders hit a tank and five armored fighting vehicles with infantry and burned a buggy.
The Ukrainian forces used artillery, attack drones, anti-tank systems and other weapons.
After the first hits and detonations, most Russian forces began to retreat.
“Not everyone managed to escape from the battlefield. This is a merit of our artillerymen, operators of attack drones, anti-tankers, and our heroic paratroopers in the trenches on the front line,” the paratroopers added.
The Russian infantry was killed by drones that dropped explosives on the invaders.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been repulsing massive Russian assaults on the settlements of Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka village for a long time.
Despite these assaults, the paratroopers continue to hold their positions near the village and destroy a significant amount of Russian equipment. The village of Kostiantynivka has been almost completely destroyed in heavy fighting.
