In southern Ukraine, the Russian army has increased its fire activity, and in the Kherson region, Russian FPV drone operators are hunting Ukrainian children.

On the left bank, the occupiers have set up a so-called “FPV drone pilot training center” and are training on Ukrainian civilians. In particular, they track people’s movements and drop explosives on them from such UAVs, which leads to death or injury. As Vladislav Voloshyn, spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces, said on the telethon, a few days ago the Russians organized a hunt for children who were playing in the yard.

“Over the past day, the enemy’s fire activity has increased, in particular, the number of strikes by FPV drones. 530 such strikes were recorded, and this figure is higher than the average in this southern direction, which is 450-470 strikes per day. In addition, the fire activity does not decrease in terms of shelling from multiple launch rocket systems and artillery systems. As for assault operations, over the past day in the south there were not as many of them as on other days – a total of eight: four in the Hulyaipilsky, two each in the Orikhivsky and Prydniprovsky directions,” Voloshyn said.

At the same time, he noted that over the past month there have been more than 300 clashes, with the enemy most active in the Orikhiv and Hulyaipil directions. In the Hulyaipil direction, in the area of ​​Privolny and Vilny Pole, in the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers tried to break through to Maly Shcherbaky and Stepovoye.

“In both the Hulyaipil and Orikhiv directions, the enemy is accumulating certain forces and means of assault groups, as well as weapons and combat equipment to carry out such assaults. But I emphasize – in small groups of infantry,” the military officer emphasized.

He explained that this is not an offensive, not part of a strategic plan, but tactical actions by the enemy to improve positions – to change the configuration of the line of combat contact in their own favor, seize certain positions, and take control of the relevant logistical routes used by the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

Voloshin said that usually, before active assault operations, the enemy conducts artillery training, often launches air strikes with guided bombs and unguided missiles on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and involves a large number of UAVs. Thus, the enemy creates so-called corridors through which small assault groups of Russians break through closer to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Russians bring in armored vehicles, which also support their infantry with fire. The assault troops move on motorcycles, light motor vehicles such as ATVs, buggies. Then such groups try to gain a foothold and wait for reinforcements. However, according to Voloshin, over the past few days the enemy has not had any success in such assaults.

“In addition, our fighters are counterattacking in the Hulyaipil direction, in one of the areas we have restored positions,” Voloshyn emphasized.

The spokesman also reported that in the Prydniprovskie direction, the line of combat contact runs along the Dnipro River bed and the enemy is trying to move to the island zone, which is under the fire control of the Defense Forces. However, the enemy wants to seize certain bridgeheads and is constantly making such attempts to force through.

In addition, the enemy continues active operations in the area of ​​Antonivske Mosty and in the island zone.
