The “Kinjal” hypersonic missile fell in the Turkmen District of the Stavropol Territory of the Russian Federation.
The incident took place on September 14 near the village of Kendzhe-Kulak, Militarniy reports with reference to Stavropol Governor Volodymyr Vladimirov, who published a photo from the scene.
According to the Russian Baza Telegram channel, six people were injured by the explosion of the “Kinzhal”: one fireman and five civilians who came to see the scene of the accident. This indicates that the rocket detonated some time after the fall.
Russian media promote the version that the Tu-141 drone crashed in the Stavropol Territory. However, the remains at the site of the explosion do not confirm this version. The photo and video do not show any characteristic element of the Tu-141 “Stryzh”.
