On February 5, a resident of the city of El Marj in northeastern Libya found 323 briquettes of hashish on the sea coast, which depicted Russian President Vladimir Putin, after which he reported the find to the police. The Libya Observer writes about this, referring to the local police.
A few days ago, a large amount of hashish bearing the image of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar was also found on several beaches in eastern Libya .
It is assumed that the appearance of hashish on different beaches may indicate that a contraband consignment of the drug, destined for one of the drug dealers, sank in the sea.
Logos of large companies and organizations are often found on drug packages seized by police officers in different countries. In 2014, Colombia seized seven tons of cocaine in packages with Yamaha and Kia logos, the Daily Mail reported . The publication explained that drug traffickers mark their goods with a certain logo to distinguish them from the parties of other groups.
In August 2018, a large consignment of cocaine was seized in Belgium , packaged in briquettes with the United Russia logo, as well as the logo of the Colombian company Brio.
