An official from the Belomorsky district of Karelia, Yevgeny Antipin, told VKontakte that on July 7 he was dismissed from service after talking about forcing employees of the district administration to “vote correctly” on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Attention to it drew edition “Sever.Realii”.

Antipin was fired from the post of director of the district department for physical education, youth affairs and tourism development. Antipin believes he was fired for reporting forced voting.

On June 22, an official published a post in VK about how on March 20 he and other senior employees were gathered in the district administration. The head of the education department, Tatyana Dolinina, speaking in front of them, said that employees and people from their environment should “correctly” vote on amendments to the Constitution.

On June 24, the head of the Belomorsky district administration, Alexei Ukhanov, called Antipin’s statement on coercion to vote “an invention”. “In our area, all the rules of the law are respected. We are for transparency, legality and legitimacy! ” – he noted.
