In the Milkovsky municipal district of Kamchatka Krai, Russian serviceman Valentin Tolman, who died in Ukraine, was buried on the road. The video recordings of the grave, which were distributed among local publics, drew attention to the publication “7×7”.

Tolman served as a private in the 110th Motorized Rifle Brigade and was a machine gunner, local authorities said . He died on August 23, 2023, allegedly “displaying heroism, fortitude and courage,” and was listed as missing in action for some time. The district authorities did not specify the circumstances and location of Tolman’s death. The soldier’s funeral took place in the village of Milkovo on July 9.

Shortly after the funeral, two videos of Tolman’s grave were circulated in Kamchatka public groups . The author of the video claimed that the soldier was buried on a dirt road that runs through the cemetery. The footage from one of the videos shows that the burial site and the entrance to the road were cordoned off with warning tape. According to the author of the video, Tolman has no close relatives who could oppose such a burial.

The author of the videos also noted that according to the documents, the road where the soldier was buried is considered a “technical passage” and runs next to the place where they are going to build a memorial to the participants of the SVO . “In my opinion, this whole thing should have been fenced off and prepared first,” he notes in one of the recordings.

The administration of the Milkovsky municipal district stated that the information from the video “does not correspond to reality.” “The area designated for the burial of the serviceman is not a roadway and was originally designated for a military burial,” officials said, publishing a map of the area to confirm their words. The map shows an asphalt road that runs along the cemetery.

The head of the district, Nikolai Sepko, reported that the area where Tolman is buried has been designated for a military burial site and will be improved. He called the road where the grave is now located “an unauthorized passage.”

The deceased participant of the special military operation Valentin Tolman is not buried on the roadway. Now there is an unauthorized passage through this area, which no one uses. At the same time, there is a well-equipped road leading to the municipal cemetery. In the village of Milkovo, a specialized burial site for defenders of the Fatherland has been created, for which a separate land plot has been allocated as part of the municipal cemetery. In the future, burials of participants of the special operation, carried out on this site, will be improved at the expense of the local budget, in a uniform style.
