In March 2022, when the Russian occupiers continuously bombed Chernihiv , pensioner Valeriy Fedorovich took his hunting rifle and opened fire.

“On the second lap, as I left (the Russian fighter – UNIAN), I was from mine, the guys from mine, and wow, it fell,” the pensioner recalls.

For the downed Russian fighter, he was awarded a medal from the State Border Service “For assistance in protecting the state border,” the agency’s website reported .

“It boh, bastard, and fell,” – this is how the pensioner describes the destruction of an enemy aircraft.

Like a real hunter, Viktor Fedorovich took a trophy for himself – a fragment from a downed Su-34.

During the hostilities, the pensioner constantly helped the defenders of Chernihiv and civilians. Neighbors with children were hiding in the basement of his house.

When asked if he would go to the army if his age allowed, the man said: “Today! On foot, I would climb on all fours!”

Recall, as UNIAN wrote, in March, on the border of the Poltava and Sumy regions, rescuers and territorial defense raised an enemy tank from the bottom of the river, which sank along with the crew. It turned out that a local pensioner, grandfather Peter, was involved in the demilitarization of enemy equipment .
