The United Kingdom is transferring 5 launchers to Ukraine in addition to 350 air defense missiles , Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced.

“Ukraine will receive 350 modern British-made missiles at the expense of Russian assets to strengthen our air defense. The missiles will be used by specially designed anti-aircraft missile systems, five more of which will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future,” the Ministry of Defense quotes Umerov as saying in its Telegram channel .

The head of the department emphasized that this was made possible thanks to the ERA program, which allowed attracting more than 2 billion pounds from income from interest on frozen Russian assets.

“This is an important mechanism of justice – when an aggressor country pays for the consequences of its own war.

“I thank the UK government, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Defense Secretary John Healy, and all partners who continue to strengthen Ukrainian air defense and help protect the lives of our citizens,” Umerov noted.

Aid to Ukraine from the United Kingdom

As UNIAN reported, Politico previously reported that the UK has promised to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses and intends to provide a new aid package that will include 350 ASRAAM air defense missiles. It was noted that this will be paid for with £70 million, which is received from interest on confiscated Russian assets.

In addition, in mid-June, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that Ukraine would receive billions for weapons from the UK. According to him, on June 11, the Ukrainian government decided to attract almost 1.7 billion pounds sterling (approximately $2.2 billion) from the UK for additional weapons purchases.

The Prime Minister noted that this month the United Kingdom also announced record aid for the supply of drones. This is 350 million pounds sterling, thanks to which Ukraine will receive 100 thousand drones this year.

And this month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed an agreement on joint military production .

  1. Add that putinaZi earned interest to the existing UK-Ukraine aid budget and you have around $8 billion. Germany is providing a similar amount and the EU have pledged $40 billion.
Total aid from everywhere except the US might reach $70-75 billion. That’s not enough; nowhere near it.
The Krasnov regime is on target to reach the sum of $0 in Ukraine aid for 2025. That is one election promise that Krasnov is happy not to renege upon.
