Hungary’s violations of Ukraine’s airspace with RECONNAISSANCE drones is as “accidental” as Russia’s attacks with tanks, drones and missiles. Let’s not play the “lost armed Russian tourist in military uniform wandered into Ukraine and shot Ukrainians by accident” 2014 game here.

Though Hungary’s REPEATED violations of Ukraine’s airspace does beg the question: Will the Drone Shield of NATO’s eastern flank operate in two directions, or will hostile Russian and Hungarian drones and missiles get to Ukraine via NATO nations?

Putin lover and ally, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban said “Ukraine is not a sovereign state” after violating Ukrainian airspace (and not for the first time) with reconnaissance drones.

Seems Hungary continues to pursue the objective of illegally annexing Ukrainian territory. (Recall that Hungary had troops in tanks stationed all along the border with Ukraine in the days before Russia’s major military escalation of February 2022, with the clear intention of invading Ukraine after Kyiv’s expected fall to Moscow.)

How can a member state openly dismantle rule-of-law norms, capture institutions, and still remain within the European Union with relatively mild consequences? Why is it tolerated that Hungary, also a NATO member, militarily provokes Ukraine, a sovereign country?

I cannot attest for what he said BUT it does not surprise me. He has accumulated enormous wealth being fed by his master in the Kremlin. He is a SOVIET FOSSIL much like Lavrov. He faces a BIG decision in the April 2026 elections. If he loses EU or speaks against the EU, he will not get votes. If he says nothing his master will destroy him. I hope for the Hungarian people he is deposed and disappears forever. IF NOT, they will not be in the EU much longer. Hideous parasite of a man.

With this “Russian-style” behavior, there is no rational reason for Hungary to be part of the European Union. Does anyone have an explanation for the fact that a European country that wanted to invade another country maintains its veto power in the European Union?

Divorce papers should be handed to Hungary together with an immediate cut off of all EU funds.
A report this week noted the “Commission is about to unfreeze €550 million of frozen funds for Hungary in order to gain the goodwill of Viktor Orbán for the next EU sanctions package against Russia.

The European Commission denied that any such trade-off is taking place.”

Maybe it should stop denying that the vetos on this, and its poster campaign against Ukraine, and its refusal to drop ruzz gas and oil purchases all indicate this relationship is toxic and that they should be invited to join their beloved neighbor in short order.

Then maybe a victory could be declared, soldiers transferred out of Ukraine and into
Budapest where there truly are welcomed with flowers, and everybody gets what they asked for.

Christina I. Muzzu : I think this release was blocked recently. I am not 100% sure but there was an announcement. The EU has now a legal construct in place which CIRCUMVENTS HIS VETO so he cannot use this card anymore. Pray in the April elections he is gone. If not, Hungary must be thrown out. If that happens his own people will turn on him. Then it’s a one-way ticket to Moscow to join Assad and other criminals. He should feel quite at home.

Viktor Orbán is a deadly cancer on the EU, undermining its very foundations. His repeated support for Putin, denial of Ukraine’s sovereignty, and provocative military posturing are reckless and are existential threats to European stability.
It is hard enough to reach agreement among honest partners; we cannot do it with a constant enemy inside our ranks.
The EU must act immediately and decisively, starting by cutting ALL funding to Hungary, using every available mechanism to isolate and ultimately expel a Member State that openly threatens a fellow European nation. Tolerance for such hostility cannot—and must not—be allowed to continue.

Trump’s revival of his “51st state” rhetoric about Canada to US generals should serve as a stark reminder that Trump has not dropped his ambitions to illegally annex peaceful neighbour, Canada. Democratic states don’t behave like that. Anti-democratic, belligerent states do.
