A robber breaks into your home. He kills your dog, burns your garage, and threatens your family. You fight back, but he ignores you and keeps going. You call the police, but instead of stopping him, they tell you:

β€œWhy don’t you sit down and talk? He just wants you to sign papers that your burned garage is his now. Let’s end the violence. He says he will not attack again, you have his word, this time he means it (fingers crossed behind).”

Sounds absurd, right? Yet this is what Ukraine faces today.

The β€œpolice” are those who promised to protect us after we gave up our nuclear weapons in 1994 under the Budapest Memorandum. The β€œneighbors” help us survive but are afraid to confront the robber directly, even when they are also threatened. And some even justify him:

β€œHe was just afraid you might attack him” (the NATO excuse).
β€œWhy not let him win?” (the same as advising someone to accept injustice quietly).

A couple of neighbours are even saying that we are putting them under threat by fighting back (Orban, Fico).

And the β€œpolice chief” himself says: β€œThe fight continues just because they do not like each other. They are like 2 kids who are fighting. I’ll give them 2 more weeks. Again…” Hearing such words from the leader of the most powerful country in the world makes me sick.

This is Kafka-level absurdity, but it is happening in real life.

Only it’s worse: the intruder not only ΠΊΡ–Π†Π†s, but also eats your dog and hangs its skin on the door, Π³Π°Ρ€Π΅s half of the family, ΠΊΡ–Π†Π†s the granpa, abducts children and sΠ½Ρ–Ρ‚s in every corner of the house. No, not a hyperbole – this is exactly what happened in countless instances.

Yes, such cases were registered and even filmed.

And deal with Trump who accuse you and being responsible for your situation, then offers you peanuts for your house…

Powerful and painfully accurate analogy. The double standards and moral gymnastics we’re witnessing are beyond frustrating. Ukraine isn’t just defending its land β€” it’s defending the very idea that aggression shouldn’t be rewarded. Silence and appeasement only embolden the aggressor. Thank you for voicing this so clearly.

Not: “He kills your dog, burns your garage, and threatens your family.” but “He kills your dog, sets your garage on fire, rapes your daughter, takes your son somewhere, and threatens your mother and wife.”
