Trump stated that Zelensky’s team “likes” the agreement, and Russia also appears to be willing to accept it.
US President Donald Trump, responding to a question about the next step in Ukraine-Russia negotiations to end the war , criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy, claiming that the Ukrainian president had still not familiarized himself with the US peace plan.
During a conversation with reporters, Trump noted that US representatives had spoken with both Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
“I have to say I’m a little disappointed that President Zelenskyy hasn’t read the proposal yet. That was as of a few hours ago,” the US president said.
He noted that Russia appears to be willing to accept the peace agreement, and Zelenskyy’s team “likes” it. However, he doesn’t know whether Zelenskyy himself agrees.
“His team likes it. But he hasn’t read it yet. Russia is quite happy with it. Russia, apparently, would like to have the whole country. But Russia, as I understand it, doesn’t object (to the peace plan). But whether Zelensky is happy with it—I’m not sure. His team likes the proposal, but he hasn’t read it yet,” Trump said.
US peace plan
The Kremlin stated that Vladimir Putin did not reject the American plan to end the war in Ukraine during his meeting with Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner. According to Dmitry Peskov , this was the first direct exchange of views, during which some proposals were accepted and others deemed unacceptable, which he called “a working process of finding a compromise.”
At the same time, European leaders called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy not to agree to Russian demands until the United States provides security guarantees. Meanwhile, there is a growing understanding among Ukraine’s European allies that Ukraine will have to make territorial concessions to achieve peace. This, supposedly, will be considered the “lesser evil.”

This is BS. Every leader in Europe knows that this is the worst scenario for Ukraine. The best scenario for Ukraine is for Europe finally grow a pair and deploy an NFZ, which will never happen. The next best scenario is for Ukraine to tell putler, if he wants the rest of Donbas, to come and get it.
Needed a drain.
