Defense Express military expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi believes that the Russians decided to spend resources irrationally in an attempt to shake up the border in the Kharkiv region
He said this on the air of the “Espresso” TV channel.
“Shaking is the maximum that the Russians can do in the Kharkiv direction. Today, 50,000 troops are what the enemy has on a 700-km section on the border with Ukraine. That is, from that group, the enemy has 30,000 troops in the Kharkiv region. In addition 50 thousand of the enemy group, they still had 400 units of armored vehicles, but they decided to divide it proportionally. Accordingly, such an outfit will be enough for the Russians to demonstrate breakthroughs. For a certain regularity of shelling of the border areas, but definitely not for a breakthrough.” – emphasized Kyrychevskyi.
According to a military expert, there may be long battles with the Russians on the border, but there is no question of a breakthrough to Kharkiv.
“Taking into account the fact that the Russians started the attack at 5 am, and so far there have been no reports of a breakthrough in the defense of our troops, it can be stated that if the Russians were not able to break through in the first 12 hours, then they have already lost the “window of opportunity “. Unfortunately, the Kharkiv direction will be another hot spot where the Armed Forces will divert their attention. But these 30,000 enemy groups would complicate the situation for us in other hot directions. The Russians decided to spend this amount of forces irrationally in an attempt to shake the border in the Kharkiv region and to get a natural result, i.e. failure to achieve one’s goals,” Kyrychevsky noted.

Warthog defense says the Russian assault group ain’t strong enough to take Kharkiv. That may well be true, but the AFU still has to deploy several thousand soldiers to stop the orcs. Are there enough reserves for that? That’s the question. 🤔
