Russian commanders are suspected of committing possible war crimes in Ukraine during missile attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.

A court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for the commander of long-range aviation of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Sergei Kobylash, and the commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Viktor Sokolov . This is stated in a press release on the ICC website .
In particular, today, March 5, three judges of the second chamber of pre-trial proceedings of the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for two people – Sergei Ivanovich Kobylash and Viktor Nikolaevich Sokolov – in the context of the situation in Ukraine for committing probable crimes in the period from at least October 10, 2029 at least March 2023.
In this regard, it is said that each of them is probably responsible for committing a war crime in connection with directing attacks on civilian objects, committing a war crime in causing excessive incidental harm to civilians or damage to civilian objects, and committing crimes against humanity due to inhumane acts in accordance with the Rome Statute.
The arrest warrants were issued based on reasonable grounds to believe that two suspects were responsible for missile attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure. These attacks were carried out by troops under the command of Kobylash and Sokolov.

Good luck arresting Sokolov, he’s not been seen since the Kremlin propped up his dead body after the attack on Crimea. Instead of going for the bit players, Shoigu and Gerasimov should be arrested.
